Weather forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day : — SVind, between north-east and northwest at al! places north of Lyttelton, and betweon north-west and south-west at all other place?. Barometer, fall at all places south of Napier and New Plymouth within 12 hours, and later at all other places. Sea, heavy on Western Coast, and between Castlepoiat and Lyltelton, Warnings for northerly gales and rain have been repeated to all places south ofJNapier and New Plymouth. The weather is likely to change suddenly. Synopsis of last 2_ hours: The barometer fell a little during the afternoon on the Western Coast of the middle island, but it has risen again during the night, and has continued rising steadily at all other places. ~he weathe* has been generally moderate with westerly winds.
