(reuter's telegrams. ) Brisbane, This Day. It is denied that the French flag has been hoisted on the New -Hebrides group. The Trans-continental Railway Bill was rejected by a large majority. It is expected a dissolution will take place. Melbourne, This Day. Pressure is to be brought to bear oa the Imperial Government m connection with the annexation question. A Metropolitan Board of Works is to be established here. The George Roper is still ashore, but uninjured.
