The Postal Committee appointed by r,be London Chamber of Commerce, after hearing the evidence of various Colonial Agent General, deeded to make an urgent appeal to the Chambers of Commerce at Brisbane, l *uci Wellington with a view to promoting the joining of the Colonies ot Queensland, and Zealand m a Postal Union. Alexandria, July 4. The statement that it had been decided to cremate bodies of those who' died of cholera at Datnietta is not confirmed. < ;rders have been given to pull down, *nd burn certain parts of the town m which the disease is prevalent, m order to stamp it out, but the bodies of those who have died of cholera will be buried m the usual manner. Sydney, July 5. The Committee appointed by the General Synod to select, a condidate fo>the vacant premacy of Sydney are now m communication with certain English Bishops. The result will be announced' at a meeting ot the Synod next month.
