fßay of Plenty Times. | Some excitement was caused m town on ThursJay on it becoming known that a magnificer.t-looking piece of quartz which was found m the Te Ranga district by Mr Spurting, an old Victoria digger, had been tested by Mt Hoyte, and found to be real goldbearing, aud that m a very high degree; Ihe spot where he discovered the reef is near a creek m the Te Ranga district, and is about 15 miles from i Tauranga. It is situated on native j land, but is nit very easy of access, as there are several creeks to wade and | bush to struggle through to get to it. '
