Remedy for Blight.
Ac this ia the right time, says a eontetnporary, for destroying blight oa fruit trees, the following hints may be useful ; a pint of kerosene oil, mixed with a quarter o£ a puund of soft soap, and worked up to a froth by means of hot water, and then mixe.t with a gallon of. cold water, will make au effective wash for trees of any kind, and a remedy that will kill American blight will be equally effective ia clearing the trees of sc*le or any other insect pests that attack the young growth of fruit trees during the entire season of active leaf growth. There is an old homely remedy that has the additional merit of being both cheap and effective — thai, of syringing the trees with soap suds as they come from the wash tub. Gishurst compound, one of tha oldest and best remedies, is a concentrated form of soap suds, and if applied acoord*. ing to the directions on each box will effectually cleanse trees of any insect life.
