West Coast Railway.
[Wellington Paper.] The railway contracts lately let at the Welliugton end of the Manawatu line are progressing. Mr Danaker's section near Johnsonville has already about twenty-toox men on it, and from one to two hundred are expected to be at work m a few days. The section at Upper Kaiwarra, under coEstuction by Messrs Anderson and Oakes, has about forty men at work. Other sections will bo under construction shortly. [Just so. The affair is goin on "- swimmingly" — at the Welliugton end. It is at the Palmerston end that nothing is being done. — P'd. M. S.]
