A New Invention.
A Wevada man, -'noticing the: clumsy way m which the the sheep are often mutilated with the sheep-shears,-. and acting upon the idea that m ancient times sheep were shorn with flintkiiTOJ, has invented a knife of peculiar-shape, which is as sharp as a razor, tor shaving the wool off. He says thdb, being' kept close and flat upon the skin of the sheep it is nexo to impossible to cut them, and he claims that he can take all the wool off m leas than half the time occupied by snip- snipping of the ordinary sheep-shears, and with considerably lesg tension upon; the muscles of thjawrist and forearm. The clumsiness of the sheep-shears has long beeu felt and acknowledged, and various contrivances have been invented and brought' under the notice of flocktaasters,' tried, condemned, and forgotten, and this last idea wiU probably phare the game fate.
