The Customs duties collected -throughout the colony for the last month amounted to £,118,639" ss. ' The beor duty for the same period w^as £4470 : 1§s 9d. For the corresponding month m 1882 the • Castoms 'revenue 'was £126 596 15s 6i';,:beer duty, £4981 19s Bd. The decrease m last month's, as against that collected m May, 188*2^ was owing to the receipts for jthe latter period being exceptionally large. The amounts collected 'at the principal centres, last month .j. were~A.uckland, £29,191 10s 5J : Lyttelton and Ghristchurch, £19.006 7s 10d ; Wellington £15,968 2s 4d ; Ounediu, £3i;454 13s '■3d. : ' ' ■■' •:v ■- ■." ; ' ■
