The Governor inspected the Government printing office while the building was lit with electric ligbc,and -expressed his satisfaction at the result obtained by the use of electricity as an illuminator. Bis remarks on the building itself j however were not complimentary,^ it is ' incoavienient and unsuitable 1 for , the purpose of which it ia used. \ ''- -■■■■ Dunedin, This Day. .: George Woran, whose unoccupied house was burned down at Kaikaria recently, was charged with arson at the Police Court to-day. The evidence showed that kerosene was smelt about the burning hbnse/ and that it had been spilt over part of his clothes. He was. remanded till Friday next* •
