Moved by Mr Bridge, seconded by Mr Sanson and carried, that the Chairman .of Committee be informed that the Board regrets it cennot comply with the request for thn farther assistance. — Poxton : Re cadet (Miss Cole) left over for the consideration ot the inspector: = ! • Attendance of Teachers.—MrSanson.moved, that it having come under the notice the notice of the Board that irregularities have occurred m the attendances of teachers m certain schools, that they be m. their places during the whole of the schools hours.—Seconded by Mr Carson, arid carried. Feilding. — A letter was received from Feilding, m reference to 1 the ; teaching staff. Also a petition from the parents of children attending the school, refer-, ring to the same matter.— Sir W. Fox move*!, that no step be takeniti the reorganisation of the s.taff, as regards Mr Dowling and Miss v^oodison, until next examination; but that immediate steps be taken .to>sup;ply^Mrv, Browne's place with, a more competent teacher j further that, it be a, recommendation to the School Committee, That Mrs Browne receive three months' notice of dismissal, and that the Committee's' attention be called to the Inspector's entry m tbJS^ log-book of May 16. — Seconded by >Mr Baker, and ca-ried.-— Sir Wm. Fox also moved that the Inspector be directed to supply a statement of the particulars mentioned by him to the Boanl iri con* nection with the competency 6f Mrs Brown, a teacher m Feilding school, holding a Government certificate, and that the Chairman do communicate with the Hon.
