A gTABT is to be made on thisimportanti work Without delay/ On Monday night, Dr Rockstbow, the Chairman of the Comtnittee,received a communication from the Government to tbe effect that under the provisions and m {conformity with "The Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882," the certificates tor the first payments on account of the work had' been made but, *and that whenever the debentures were received, the fund could be drawn against. The debentures were printed, signed, sealed, and forwarded tbtf next evening, so that no delay was lost. Ihere is to be a meeting of the Bulls s and Sandon joint committees en Monday, at which the former place will be represented by Messrs 1 Flower, Maclean, Dalzihll, Willis, Bull, Munro, and Remington. It is probable that the work will now be vigorously put m hand, as tenders have been already Invited for tLe first section, which- we understand is from Sandon to Campion's Bush. The Chairman of Committee is not the man to let the grass grow under his feet, when the necessary preliminaries have been so satisfactorily arranged,
