Cby I (united phbss association.) Invercargill, This Day. News to hand of a destructive fire at River ton. It broke out this morning (m a stable attached to Morgan Haye's Caledonian Hotel, and despite all efforts spread from thenca to the south end of the blcck,whereits progress was stoppei by a cross street. Tne estimated damage is £10,000. All are insured but one; The offices principally interested are t!>e New Zealand, Union, and South British.
