On the 6th April, daring p heavy gale, a tremendous sea broke oa board, and about twenty minutes after, when one of the hands, Enoch Thirbonj was required, he was found to be missing and must have been washed overboard and drowned. One of the other harids also had a narrow escape, having been actually m the water/ but he managed to scramble into the vessel again. Enoch Thirboa was a coloured man/ about 25 years of age.
