At the Irish Convention m Philadelpia many delegates refrained from censuring the dynamite policy. The American Cabinet is discussing the necessity of taking measures to prevent persons making inflammatory speeches. Archbishop Croke, of Cashel, has been summoned to Rome to consult with the Pope m reference to the condition of affairs m Ireland. It is believed m official circles that the British Government will sanction the annexation of New Guinea by Queenss land. It is announced that Queensland loan will be placed on the market m the first week m May. April 27. The P. and O. s.s.
