♦ The Home News says :—« There is good luck m store for the Australian meat products. Everything points to a considerable Bcarcity m Home-grown meat m the coming months. A sne-^ cession of bad seasons has told mos^ disastrously on flocks and herds. «heep»farmers and cattle -raisers are looking very blue. Tbere is no pasture, for the fields are drowned out ; the constant wet has interfered with the lambing, and developed the dormant, but always present, disease m sheep called fluke. It is feared there wiil be very little English mutton m the markets this year, and it is calculated by competent persons that meat will advance some ao per cent, m cost."
