In Memtoam.
The Raglan correspondent of the Waik'att) Times thus peters m terms of eulogy; to the late %/E. G. McMinn : — The'intelligence \yhich has just been received of the sudden death ot Mr E. G. McMinn, ex-M.H.R. for Waipa, has been followed by a widespread feeling of sorrowful regret at the removal from our midst of one who was so well known and respected m our community, not only during, the term of his political life, but also m his private capacity as a resident m this county, who has always shown a lively and intelligent interest m the welfate of this district, and who has always used his beet energies to promote its prosperity. Both as a member of the- county council and as chairman of the Pirongia Road Board, he has been an ardent worker for the weal «f the community, and. the road wnich connects this district with Waikato, over the Hakaramata range, owes its existence to his energy m maU tere political. We can ill afford the loss of ;BUch a man, and he will be long remembered by the- Raglanites as one who, during his residence amongst us, has few equals m a*desire to see the county advance to prosperity^ ,
