The Lyttelton ' Times publichea the following;—" Mr Reuben Tzbley, v ojf Sefton, has sent us a letter, calling i\liy < Stephensome very hard names/ He i wiahek to be allowed to contradict bis '-statement of March 10* to the great healer, that he was cured of asthma, for, says, M* Tilbey, 'It lasted one week, and I have been bad from the 11th of Mavch to date ot writing with the same complaint. Our correspond dent uses strong language on the subject, and his wrongs have evidently overcome his feelings." : :" ; There is a curious coincidence between a murder committed in New Zealand, on ihe West Coast, and those with which the man Burns has been charged in Victoria. In New Zealand the murdered man's name was Quinlivan, so also ■ was the man whose murder Burns was recently tried for at Hamilton. In New Zealand the man's head was severed from his body So, also, was treated the victim of the Deep Lead murder, the first case on wnich Bnrns was tried, and was acquitted.
