Auckland, ApriHß. , STews is to hand from Mr Bryce's party, and states that they hay* reached Qtorohangi, 17 miles from Alexandria, yesterday afternoon without opposition. Two unimportant chiefs stopped the party, at different places to speak. The first'asked if the journey was peaceable, and the second that bat for Tacnai's letter, a verbal protest would hare been against the journey. Five natives from the meeting . af; Te Kuiu joined tho party last night, including WiPere and Alex. Thompson. The. meeting ig not yet over, but agreed rb ask- Parliament to pass a Bill recognising the division of the JSfifatimaniapoto lands and, cheapening the passing through the Court. The creeks, are nwxeh. swollen, but n« accident has occurred beyond Mr Lewis being thrown trom his hone, bat not injured.
