INTERPRoyiNCIM. ■ (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Hawera, April 16. SlQa Saturday about one hundred set' tiers met m Hawera to consider the question of starting a Butter and Cheese factory. A Committee was . appointed to secure further information. The same evening a meeting was held at Normanby to consider the advisableness of starting Hop Culture. A number ot settlers resolved to go into the venture, and agreed to secure the ser* vice of a practical man to give things a start. , : Andrew Yonng, farmer at Koupoko- j nai, has been arrested ot a charge of i perjury. The offence is alleged to have beep, committed during the hearing of an assault charge on Wednesday last. Bail was allowed, A meeting of Young's creditors was held on Saturday. Liabilities, £3401 17s 10d ; assets, £1806. The estate is to be assigned to Mr Tenant, of the Bank of New South Wales, Patea. \ The weath r is cold and wet. !
