INTERPROVINCIAL . ->• — Dunedin, April 14. The Otago Daily Times Company has declared a dividend of 8 per cent, for the year. Tauranga, April 14. A lodge of the United Ancient Order of Druids was opened here yesterday by Bro. Walter Bishop, District President of the Korth Island. The proceedings were very successful. A banquet afterwards took place. Auckland, April .14. The prospectus of the Auckland Shipping: Company, with a capital of £150,000, appears to-day. It is proposed to purchase Stone Bros.' fleet. It is stated that the costs of Mr E. B. Walker, defendant m the Cambridge native ejectment case, amount to nearly £3000. The Governor, to-day, with Captain Dale, of H.M.H. Diamond, and the members of the Harbor Board, visited the Huear Company's works and the Calliope lira ring Dock. Captain Dale, of the Diamond, spoke m laudatory terms of the undertaking, saying that when it is completed the dock would be able to take m the largest vessels of Her Majesty's navy, the Inflexible not excepted. Hid Excellency also spoke favorably of the dock and site, and commended the wisdom of the board iD making it capacious. . Captain Ted Wright and Lien);. Johnny Bowman, of the Salvation Army, opened their campaign to-night at the Temperance Hall, and received a respectful and orderly hearing. Numbers were unable to obtain admission to th building.
