CANTERBURY MARKETS. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. The grain market m Christchurch has only been moderately busy during the past week. Operations have been checked to a certain extent by the extremely wet weather that has been prevalent for some days past. Wheat— There is nothing special to notice m connection with this cereal. Prices remain firm, and any samples brought forward are readily taken at quotations. Good milling 4s Sit r4s M, and prime lots and Tuscan up to 4s s£d to 4s 6d. - Oats present exactly the samo features. Business continues quiet,: witfc only moderate sales transpiring. Feed samples are selling at Is 10d to 2s, and milling at 2s o£d to 2* Id. It may be noted that not many lots of Tartarian have been offered up to the present: Barley.— The weaker feeling noticed last week m connection wich this grain still characterises the market.: Prices are not so firm by Id to 2d per bushel. Flour.— Millers' are quotiug £11 to £11 10s, according to brand. Gras3 Seed.— Several parcels of ryegrass have lately changed hands at 2g 9d t 0 3s 4d; thoroughly. clean lots at os 6d to 3s 9d, and machine-dressed up to 4s. Cocksfoot is quoted at 3£d to BJd, with a quiet enquiry. ; Dairy Produce — Cheese, 4f ito fid.; butter, lOd to lid. Hams and bacoa unchanged.
