INTERPROVINCIAL . — .s. — (united press association.) Dunbdin, April 11. In the Police Gazette for March, 1882,' appeared an Intimation that George Murphy and two confederates were wanted tor obtaining upwards of £400 from Henry Pleister, at Christcburch by means of the "heart trick." A man giving the name of Syme, who vas arrested here last week for the match-box trick, has been identified as Murphy, the principal offender, I . Christohurch, -April-11. It is rumored this evening that the Telegraph newspaper has been 'purchased by the proprietors of the Globe. Nelson, April 11. The Town Committee of Education having resolved to establish a night school for lads, such a school was opened last night, when 94 youths enrolled their names. This number is greatly m excess of what was, expected.
