A SPECIAL Meeting of the memberß cf the Maaawatu Permanent Equitable Building and Investment Society is hereby convened for SATURDAY, the twenty-first day of April, 1883, at three o'clock p.m., at the Town Hall, Palmerston North, to pass the following resolutions for the purpose of altering, amending and rescinding the Rules of the said Society m the fol 1 owing manner, viz :-— 1. That the words (< or capital " be inserted between the word " invest* ment " and the word " shares "m the ninth line of.Hule XVIII. 2. That the words (( or m the case of capital shares the Board may advance for any term not exceeding one year, Any sum not being more than at the rate of £6 13s 4d per ; share, at such rate' of interest riot ; being less than £7 per cent per annum as' the Board may see fit : provided that advances to Members, • under Tables B, C, and D, shall ha vci the preference," be m;- -; ; sorted after the words, "freehold i security" m the eleventh line of -RuIeXVIIL 3. That the words "provided that no advances be made upon capital - thares" m the 2 1st line of Rule XVIII be struck out. 4. That the following Clause commencing from ' the words 'Members to whom advances " on the 94th line of Rule XVIII, on page 13 of the : said Rules, down to the words "m ■■ accordance with Rule XV " be struck out.
