All the stacks on the farm of Mr Jackson, of St. Bathan, near Dunedin, i were burned to-day. They were valued at £600, and were uninsured. Naeieb, April 2. Mr Ramsey Sims, manager of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency here, broke a bloodvessel and dropped down dead m the streets to-day. It has been ascertained that the unfottunate man died almost instantly. _,The deceased was very much liked, and the sad occurrence caused great regret when it became known.
