EDUCATION BOARD.
Bunnythorpe. — The consideration of an appHcttion of the Committee fora grant, to erect a chimney to the Infant Rchoolhouse, was deferred till the next meeting . Beacons6eld.— The request of the B'»aconsfieM Committee to appoint a teacher was complied with . Manchester.— On the motion of Mr SDelson, the Secretary was instructed to write to the School Committte, requesting them to c^ear the logs from round the snhoolhouse now m course of erection . Appointments. — In Committee, the following business was transacted : — Foxtou. — A. letter was read from Miss Stewart applying for the position of assistant mistress. Resolved that Miss Stewart conform to the rule re examination, and that her name be placed on the list of applications ; the vacancy at Foxton to be advertised. Palmersfcon. — In reference to a letter from Sutton re teaching power there, it was reßolved to appoint Miss Dunne to the school as assistant mistress > subject to her passing the necessary examinations ; also that Mr Samuel •^trachaa be appointed .first year pupil teacher. The vacancy at Woodville was left m the -hands of the Inspector. Sanson. — The repairs necessary at the teacher's residence, S&nson, were, on the motion of Mr Sanson, referred to the Building Committee. Greatford. — Sir W". "Fox reported, with reference to tbe teacher's residence, that the repairs required necessitated the attention of a practical builder. — It was decided to expend a sum not exceeding £5, which sum Sir W. Pox estimated was to cover all expenses. JJa'combe. — A communication was received from the Committee, stating that the grant ox £10 by the Board was indequatc, and asked leave to expend some £3 extra. — Agreed to.
