TO CORRESPONDENTS.
" B. Pepper," (Foxton).— -We do not j see that any good could result from , the publication of your letter, which . concerns ti e public mno sense. " Town Croaker." — We do not think - it advisable to publish jour letter. It was a pity the silly local obtaiued even a limited publicity, though the person assailed had an undoubted right to reply on his own behalf. In answer to " Sympathy," who en quired about the case of distress m the district, we learn that the person sought to be assisted, was a settler named West, a resident of Mancluster Block. We have nor learnt to what extent the app< a! was responded to, but do not doubt fuither outside assistance would be thankfully received. We know nothing whatever of the merits of the case.
