COMMITTED FOR THIAL, (by telegraph."! (united press association.) Auckland, March 28. At the Police Court to day Mahuki and 22 of hia followers were committed to take their trial at the next session on a charge of assault and robbery of Mr Hursthouse. They asked to be allowed to smoke, and have more food given to them at the gaol. Wetere, m his evi-ience, said that if Messrs Hursthouse and New&ham had resisted they would have met death or extreme evil, as Mahqki's party had their war girdles
