(to the editoe of the standard.) Sir. — I hear that some member of our community has been, oj* is m tribulation, and that a benefit concert is to be got up on his behalf. I do not attend pubic entertainments myself, but am willing to contribute my mite to a deserving case of misfortune. I dare say others would do likewise. Perhaps you would be kind enough to let me, and other charitably, disposed people, know through your columns the circumstances of the case, s« that we may co™ operate.
