A proclamation m the Gazette noti* fies that cock pheasants, quail, and redleg partriges may be taken or killed within the Manawatu District, comprics ing the County of Manawatu, from the ißtof May to the 15th of August, both days inclusive; and that hates may be taken or killed within the said district from April 1 to August 15, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to restrictions m said Act mentioned). It is further notified that licenses to take or kill such same within the said district shall be issued on payment of 21s each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on the payment of £5 each, and the postmaster at Palmerston is appointed to issue the said licenses . It is further notified that native game (excepting tuis) insy be taken or killed within the said district from the Ist of April to the Ist of August, both inclusive.
