An Affiliation Case.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Ne'son, March 23 An affiliation case from Milton, Otago, Clelaud v. Ewart, was tried here to-day. The plaintiff's evidence was distinct, and she called the defendant's mother and sister to give corroborative testimony. The magistrate said he did not consider the corroborative evidence sufficient, but he thought the defendant should have appeared and gone into the witness box. As he had not done so, he should leave each party to pay their own costs.
