(BY TELEGRAPH) • (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Ohristohurch, March 21. • At. a meeting of the Wairaakariri Board on Monday statements were | made that C. L. Dudley, the clerk, had failed to account for certain sums of money received by him. Also that the rate-book was missing, and that an important page had been torn out of another book. A committee was , appointed to instruct a solicitor to proceed against Dudley for deficiencies. It was stated that Dudley was formerly the Town Clerk of Kaiapni, and legal, proceedings ate pending against him by the Town Council for missing books, &c.
