The Easter Holidays?
The Easter Volunteer Encampment at Wanganui promises to be a very great attraction. It is estimated that nearly 500 men will be m camp, all of whom will be under canvas, and application has been made to the Defence Department fcr 70 tents for their accommodation . Une feature will be a public picnic up the Wanganui river, nnd»r the auspices of the Wanganui Navals, which will be very numerously attended. In the absence of sports m Manawatn, and with ths special facilities of return fares at single rates, Wanganui and the Volunteer Encampment promises to be the attraction of the West Coast.
