Tho beating ia now 9 to 4 m favour of Cam« bridge. The reß alt, however, proved these predictions erroneou-, and Oxford pulled off the trophy. This race is the fortieth that has been rowed by the rival Universities, and of thoae forty Oxford has won 22, Cambridge 17, and one (that of 1877) was a dead beat. We were shown tosday some very handsome imported priite fowls lately purchased by Mr Walkley, of the Commercial Hotel. The are of three kinds, light Brahma, | black Cochin, and Houdins..
