(BY TELKGHAPn). (united press association.) Christchurch, March 9. j At a meeting of tha Board of Education to-day, Mr S. C. Farr'd motion, of which notice was given a month ago, recommending that the Government allow the school committees to introduce .Biole-reaiing into district school*, was withdrawn after considerable discussion. The majority of members were of opinion ttiat religious instruction could be given out of scheol hours without any alteration m the Act being required. The Rev. C. Bowen, Episcopalian minister, ot Riccarton, wrote, stating that no had given such instruction to children at the Ricsarton school ior years.
