Mr Horace Bent.
This talented gentleman, assisted by a number, of amateurs, gave a most enjoyable entertainment m the Foresters' Hall, last night, to a good audienoe. We have not spies to enter into full details <-f the different oerforraances, but suffice it co say that the efforts put forth sent home a most delighted audience. Mr Hent's drolleries and jokes, together with hii iraitation3 of diffe-eut characters, are immense. In the*' Raw" Correspondent, Mr Bent kept the house m the greatest merriment ; his imitations of Archibald Forbes, and monarchs he had met, together with his explanation as to how he became appointed a " Raw" Corresn pondent to that magnificent religious journal, Ferguson's " Settler's Friend," — the appointment being made by Old Barry, the porter, and Dick Partridge, the carter, — and the battles he had witnessed from inbide an iron tank, or from the good cover of a large tree, or some other place of perfect safety, were most humorous. The amateurs one and all performed their pieces very creditably indeed, and altogether the entertainment was a most enjoyable one. Mr Bent announces his intention of performing agnin to-morrow night by special request.
