By telegraph to-day, we learn that : Mr C. W. HuRSTHousEj of the Public WbTks Department, wlo was deputed 't make a flvihg sirvey of alternative railway routes, has been turned back. No violence was U3ed, but the party was simply told they must not proceed. It is said that Mr Brtce would not be permitted to cross the Alexandra bridge, and Native complications are evidently looming in the immediate future.- It looks as if the Native difficulty were a long way from being ended yet, though, really, with recent developments of t! e Native policy of the present Government^ such is not to be wondered at. The Colony will watch with some anitiety the progress of events in Waikato.
