Narrow Escape.
( HERALD CORRESPONDENT. ) Tattpo, March 3. On the return trip of the cutter Dauntless to here, wh^n about the middle ot th" lake, oon.n n . of the passengers named Roderick Grey accidentally fell overboard. Immediately a young man nam°d Sheith, a surrey cadet, jumped m the lake and was just m time to catch the drowning man as he was sinking for the third time. They were m the water abont a quarter of an hour before assistance came.
