TENDERS FOR WORKS.
The Manawatu County Council elsewhere invite tenders for erecting two torfcy-feet spans and protection works at the Awa Huri Bridge, which was partly demolished some eight raon'hs ago by a heavy flood, and which has been allowed to remain m statu quo ever since, mu^h to the discredit of that body. Tenders will close at noon on Tuesday next. Plans and specifications can be seen at the County Council Office, Foxton, the Manawatu Highvay Board Office, Pain merston North, and at the Manchester Highway Board Office, Feilding. The same local body also invites tenders for the supply and delivery of gravel for the repairs of the Rangitikei Line, Stoney Creek ftoad, and the Karere Road. The advertisement appearing elsewhere contains the necessary par-* ticulars.
