Railway Accident.

The afternoon train from Brunnertoa to Greymouth,met with a serious accident crossing the Omotumotu Bridge, about three and a half miles from town. Some of the coal wagons got off the track about fifty yards before coming to the bridge, the engine and light coal wagons remaining oil the line, and also the passenger cars at the back. The wagons must have jumped from sleeper to sleeper, many of which are cut m two, and a great many axle boxes and springs broken, while on the next end of the bridge about ninety feet of the track has been stripped of sleeper, all of which are heaped up together. The train to which the accident happened was very full of passengers.
