The District Court.

• FURTHER CO MPLAIiNTS. To-day was the fourth consecutive day on which the Clerk of the District Court was absent on other duty. Really, this state of things is getting beyond endurance. There might be just as well no District Court at all. Application was made to-day for the issue of a summons m a caso comiag before the next District Court, but m the absence of the Clerk it could not be issued. Today was the last day on which the summons could be issued, to be within tha prescribed time allowed by law, so that serious grounds for complaint against the system at present m vogue 3an now be established on most sub« stantial grounds.
