ANNUAL STOCK SALE.
Messrs Stevens and Gorton elsewhere announce the most important sale of stock that has yet taken place on the ySTest Coast. It is the first annual sale from the Oroua Downs, Carnarvon, and Moutoa estateß, and will take place on Friday, at the Oroua Downs, commencing at 1 o'clock sharp. The vendors are J. McLennau, Esq., of the Oroua Downs, and Ft B. Larkworthy, Esq., of Carnarvon; and the stock as already catalogued comprise 700 head of cattle, 5000 sheep, 10 pure and seven eighth-bred bulls, some valuable horse stock, besides other special lines, including railway tracks and wheels, suitable for contractors, a large quantity of fencing standards, &c. Full descriptive catalogues will be widely distributed, a id every effort put forth to give this most important sale as extensive publicity as possible. Special arrangements will be made for the conveyance of purchasers} for whom luncheon will also be provided. This first annual sale promises to be the sale of the season, and will be probably attended by many residents of the South Island.
