THE WRECKED SHIP. (by electric telegraph. — copyright.) (reuter's telegrams.) Melbourne Feb. 5. All attempts to float the ship Berengaria at Barwon Heads have as yet proved unsuccessful. Three hundred tons of cargo have been lightered, aud a quantity was thrown overboard. Of the latter several cases of brandy, chemicals, and furniture floated ashore, and* fell into the possession of pillagers who looted the spirits. A scandalous scene amounting to a wild orgie ensued, and- lasted for several hours. The police were povrer'e-s to interfere.
