Hassell and Co. report :— Flour, £10 to £11 ; oatmeal, £15 ; bran, £i ; pollard, £5; potatoes, £5 to £6; onions, £16 per ton. Oatis, 2s 9d to 8s 6d ; wheat, 3a 6d to 4s 6d j maizeT"^" 4s. 9d per bushel. Batter, 7d/toßd, bacon and hams, 9d per lb ; eggs, Is to la id. Fowls, 33 61 ; dncks, 4a per pair. Business m graia particularly slow, ai buyers are holding off, waiting arrival of new crop. Laery and Campbell report «i-Eggß are more scarce, and worth Is 2d per dozen. The market is quite* bare of butter, both fresh and salted ; there have been inquiries for salt butter during the week. Poultry has baeu m very small supply, but, even bo, is hard to place. Potatoes may be quoted as m brisk demand -at £6 per ton. Onions, slovr of sale at l£d to 2d per lb. In other produce there is literally no busU ness doing except m quite retail lots. George Thomas reports a plentiful supply of old oats to hand, and several cargoes- on the water. Prices are quit© nominal, ruling from 2s lid to 3s 3d, but the Bamples are far from first class, and this may probably account for » proportion of the decline m prices. Wheat (tow a'), heavily stocked, ruling from 3s 8d to 3a lOd ; barley, 3s 7d to 3s 9d ; maize, very' little sale, and none offering, 4a 6d to 4s 9d is considweJ a fair market report; flour, £10 15s' to £11; oatmeal, £15 ; bron, £4 10s; pollard, £5 Is j hams and bacon, B|d to 9d ; cheese, 7£d ; butter, B£d to 9d. A good inquiry exists for grass seed. For first*elass perennial rye-grass saed 4s 6d to 4s 9d is quoted ; there have been some transactions at tue former figure ; cocksfoot is worth 4d to, 4£d.
