On the lGfch January, Mr John McLennan, of Oroua owns, by his clerk Mr James Campbell, addressed a letter to the Manawatu ST\NDARD,anthonz« ing the insertion of two advertisements. After Borne considerable troubln and delay, thwfc letter has been traced to the Manawatu Times, ftom the manager of which paper I have ineffectually sought an explanation. I wish you to make inquiries into the mstter, as I consider it should receive the fullest investigation.
