ANNUAL STOCK SALE.
Messrs Stevens and Gorton elsewhere announce 'he most important sale of stock that has y«t takon place on the West Coast. It is the first annual sale from the Omua Downs, Carnarvon, and Mouto* estates, and will take place on February 9, at the Oroua Downs, commencing at 1 o'clock sh rp. Tho vendors are J. McLennan. Esq., of the Oroua Downs, and F. B. Larkworthy, Esq., of Carnarvon; and the stock hs already catalogued comprise 700 head of cattle, 5000 sheep, 10 pure, atd seven eiglith-bred bulls, some valuable horse stock, besides other spe-ial lines, including railway trucks and wheels, suitable tor contractors, a lirge. quantity of fencing standards, &c. Full descriptive catalogues will be widely distributed, a' d every effort put forth to give tins most important sa.'e as extensive publicity as possible, special arrangements will be made for the conveyance of purchasers, for whom luncheon will also be provided. This first annual sale promises to be the sale of the season, and will be probably attended by many residents of the South Island.
