The mysterious disappearance is reported of a man named James McMahon, a bottlei j who lost his child while at the Druid's fete on Monday last, and the same night he went m search of it. Nothing hasbeen seen of him since, and it is feared that he has met with some fatality. The total amount of property-tax paid throughout the colony up to to-day amounts to ab/>ut £38,000.
