CORESPONDENCE.

I OUR SOH'J >>. U.)MMrL v rEB. (to the editor op the standard.) Sir, — I see by the Standard that the School Committee for the ensuing \ear includes the naraa of only ona oust'bolder who has children beiar educated at the State School. Can we expect that much interest will be felt m the satisfactory working of the school by a committee, six of whom have no children attending ? Earn reminded oi the old nursery rhyme : — Ye parents who no children have, Nor never will have none, I pray ye send them all to school, And keep the rest at home. Seriously, I think it a very great misfortune that our School Committee does not comprise a larger proportion of parents of children attenaing- the school than one m seven. — I am, &c, A Parent.
