(to the editor of the standard.) Bib,— Will you oblige mo by inserting m your paper the following reply to the letter that appeared on^ the 15th instant, m the Standard, re the Taonui School Treat. Allow me to state that the refreshments foe the dance, and lighting of the room had nothing to do with the school treat, but were supplied 07 Mr E. Collins, senior, and one or two other friends. Ihe only parties who tried to raise a disturbance were those who would not allow th- ir children to remain to tea, or to pick from the Christmas Tree. — I am, &c,, An Observer, Rangitikei Line.
