Important; Announcement.
ANNUAL STOCK SALE. Messrs Stevens and Gorton slsewhere announce the most important sale of stock that, has yet taken place on the West Coast. It is the first annual sale from the Oroua Downs, Carnarvon, place oh 1 February. 9, at the Oroua Downs, commencing at 1 o'cieck sharp. The vendors are J. McLennau. Esq., of the Oroua Downs, and F. B. Larkworthy, Esq., of Carnarvon; and the stock as already catalogued comprise 700 head of cattle, 5000 .-heep, 10 pure and seven eighth-bred bulls, some valuable horße stock, besides other special lines, including railway trucks i and wheels, suitable 'for "contractors 1 ," a large quantity of fencing standards, &c. Full descriptive catalogues will be i widely distributed, a*. d every effort put forth to'give this most important sale as extensive publicity as possible. Special arrangements will be made fothe conveyance of purchasers, lor. whom luncheon will also be provided, this first annual sale promises to be the sale of the season, and will be probably attended by many residents of the South Island. :
Further additions have been made to Messrs Stevens and Gorton's oatalogue for their stock sale at Awahari, to take place on next Friday, and which promises to be. very numerously attended.
