INTERPROVINCIAL ... ♦ . — Dunedii*; January 13. The boy White, who stabbed his com* panion m a butcher's shop at Port Ghal* mers, has been remanded, bail being allowed. The man Heath has baen committed for trial for a criminal assault on a girl eight years old. Chbistchubch, Jan. 16. The Rev. Mr Fraser was cited before the Presbytery to-day, but Jailed to ap> pear, and was deposed. A committee was appointed to confer with the congregation as to his successor. Joseph Welchman, got his right arm entangled m a scratching mill this morning. The arm was torn completely off below the elbow. A man was brought before the .Resi* abated from his wife, charged with assaulting her and destroying her property. Amongst other things .he tied a firebrand to her cow's tail, and set the animal loose round the paddocks. He had to pay for the dam ige he did. and find h mvy sureties to ke >p the peace.
